Implement AI Scribe technology into your practice as a way to reduce administrative burden, improve documentation efficiency, and enhance patient care.

OntarioMD shares information about the Ontario AI Scribe Program established by the Ministry of Health and Ontario Health. Clinicians are encouraged to review the website to learn more about the AI Scribe procurement process, how to get started, and more.

Adopting AI Scribe is a significant decision. OntarioMD led an evaluation study of AI Scribe technology. This study considered how the technology reduces administrative burden and increases physician face time with patients.

HPE OHT Support for AI Scribe Implementation:

HPE OHT is funding/reimbursing new adopters and existing users of AI Scribe technology at this time. If you are interested in participating for 2025/2026, please complete the following steps:

Reimbursement will be provide up to the approved funding limit. Full reimbursement cannot be guaranteed, and a cost-sharing model may be required if demand exceeds available funds.

A shared opportunity to learn, reflect, and strengthen culturally safer care.

This foundational workshop introduces Indigenous Cultural Safety (ICS) as an ongoing commitment to equitable, person-centred and culturally responsive care. Participants will explore the impacts of colonization, health equity for First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and how cultural safety can strengthen integrated care, service delivery and partnerships across the HPE OHT. The session is tailored to the realities of rural, small-town and regional service settings.

HPE OHT partners are invited to join us for a half-day, in-person workshop exploring the foundations of Indigenous Cultural Safety (ICS).

Indigenous Cultural Safety is a lifelong commitment and an important part of providing equitable, person-centred and culturally responsive care. Together, we’ll explore:

• The principles and purpose of Indigenous Cultural Safety
• The goal of advancing health equity and improving access to care for Indigenous peoples
• The historical and ongoing impacts of colonization on First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities
• What Indigenous Cultural Safety means for integrated care, service delivery and partnership development

Grounded in the HPE OHT context, this session will reflect the realities of providing culturally safer, relationship-based care across rural, small-town and regional settings.

The 2SLGBTQ+ Foundations course builds confidence and competency in providing inclusive, affirming and culturally responsive care for 2SLGBTQ+ communities. Participants will explore key terminology, minority stress and health disparities, and practical approaches to providing welcoming, comprehensive care for diverse 2SLGBTQ+ service users.

The 2SLGBTQ+ Older ADults & Inclusive Care course builds knowledge and skills to provide inclusive, affirming and culturally responsive care for 2SLGBTQ+ seniors and older adults. Participants will explore the lifelong impacts of stigma and discrimination, the unique health and social needs of 2SLGBTQ+ older adults, and the importance of chosen families and care networks. The course also highlights best practices for supporting 2SLGBTQ+ seniors in home care and long-term care settings.

Build on the foundations of inclusive, affirming and culturally responsive care.

HPE OHT partners are invited to take part in a two-part learning opportunity. Participants must complete the Foundations training before attending the session focused on 2SLGBTQ+ older adults.

1. The 2SLGBTQ+ Foundation training will explore:

• Key 2SLGBTQ+ terminology
• Minority stress and health disparities
• Practical approaches to providing welcoming, comprehensive care
• Inclusive, affirming and culturally responsive care for diverse 2SLGBTQ+ communities

2. The Older Adults & Inclusive Care training will explore:

• The lifelong impacts of stigma, discrimination and minority stress on 2SLGBTQ+ older adults
• The unique physical, mental and social health needs of 2SLGBTQ+ seniors
• The importance of care networks and chosen families
• Best practices for providing affirming care in home care and long-term care settings

The training will build knowledge, confidence and skills to help create welcoming, inclusive and culturally safer experiences for 2SLGBTQ+ older adults.

Prerequisite: You must attend or have completed the Foundations course before attending the Older Adults & Inclusive Care training.
