Continuing the Momentum: Shaping the Future of Healthcare Together in HPE

We embarked on a journey to build relationships and identify shared priorities by bringing together governors and leaders from over 45 partner organizations to learn, unlearn, and grow. Building on this foundation, we engaged directors, managers, and front-line staff from across HPE OHT to continue fostering connections, learning, and to begin re-shaping our future together using a collective impact approach.

Celebrating Our Collective Efforts

Thank you to all who participated! Over 150 attendees came together from all sectors and organizational levels to reimagine how collaboration, innovation and courage can help us to build a health and social care system that works for everyone—patients, clients, caregiver partners, and those dedicated people who provide care.

What’s Next?

A draft roadmap, informed by all the feedback and ideas gathered during the Summit Series and other opportunities for input over the last several months, will soon be shared for further input and refinement.

Our journey is just beginning! Reflect on some of the commitments made during the summit:

  • Continue building relationships with other partners across HPE
  • Share what you have learned with colleagues within your organization—you can direct them to this page to learn more about the Shaping the Future of Health Care Together in HPE series.
  • If your colleagues would like to sign up to receive the HPE OHT Bulletin—they can contact info@hpeoht.ca to request to be added to the mailing list.
  • Get involved in OHT work—reach out to info@hpeoht.ca with questions or ideas. And stay tuned for further opportunities to connect and engage with one another to further work on our shared priorities

Land Acknowledgement

HPE OHT delivers supports and services on lands that are the traditional territory of many nations, including the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe, Algonquin and the Haudenosaunee peoples. It is also directly adjacent to the Kenhte:ke – the Tyendinaga Nation. These territories are governed by the Dish with One Spoon wampum agreement. We share a responsibility to acknowledge and respect the culture and history of Indigenous peoples, who have inhabited and nurtured these lands for generations. We commit to centering our work of overall health and wellbeing for all residents, with particular consideration for Indigenous peoples and all equity-deserving populations in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
